Waveriders Cabrinha Crossbow 3 - Test Report
Waveriders has tested the Crossbow 1, 2 and now Xbow 3. Out of the bag the Crossbow 3 is well made as per usual Cabrinha standards and the one pump system is swift and easy to use. Set up is easy with direct point to point set up.
On the water I found the Crossbow 3 to be relitavely heavy on the bar pressure side of things, the turning speed with the "correct bar pressure" was responsive and sharp but if when on the wave you run at the kite you are stuffed as no bar pressure can be applied = no turning and a wet kite!
Saying that the water relaunch was great, literally from the bar the kite was up and out so that was all very good. The Crossbow 3 does have a huge wind range, flies well to the front of the window and as expected can send you to the clouds!
In all I would say that the Crossbow 3 is for the weekend warrior that wants to get out and back and jump without too much fuss and not bothered about budget! - Julius 6.12.07
